Reasonably enjoyable episode, odd (but not unprecedented!) choice of
mid-holiday airdate that somewhat buried it... not a lot to say, I
guess. In the east, football did end in time, though the episode ran
from 8:03 to 8:32 (and about 10 seconds shorter than usual, but it may
have just been that way) because the entire lineup was moved around to
put a THREE-minute preview of that World's Toughest Test season premiere.
DYN:
...Smithers is supposed to be taking out the trash, but uses the blue
(recycling) bin and doesn't touch the black (trash) one?
...the million-dollar wine is on one edge of the very large padded
container, not in the middle?
...Smithers says "Burns'" as one syllable, while Homer says the more
correct "Burns's" (two syllables) (he also says Flanders' in the song,
which does fit the meter better)?
...there is no way the garage wall can be behind the kitchen cabinet
like that?
...Sam Walton becomes *two* separate fake entrepreneurs?
Previous episode stuff
4F12: Homer has a loose Poochie cel in his safe
1F10: Taking a cane from Abe, who falls over, to start a song
2F02: Birch Barlow seen among the rich people at auction
7G13: Cesar and Hugolin from back in season 1 seen in wine jail at very end
Speaking of the very end...
This airing was dedicated to writer William "Billy" Wright, who it seems
died on December 16. I can't quite identify the picture, which is one of
those flip-over card portraits presumably of him as seen in a school
gym, perhaps in one of his episodes. Don't expect to see it again!
